Inaugural meeting – COST Action (CA16225 EU-CARDIOPROTECTION)
We had our inaugural meeting for our new COST Action (CA16225 EU-CARDIOPROTECTION 2017-2021) at the COST Headquarters in Brussels, October 2017.
It was attended by over 50 management committee (MC) members from over 25 European countries with diverse and multi-disciplinary backgrounds and expertise in the field of cardioprotection.
Together, we discussed the objectives of our new COST Action, and have formulated a plan going forward to realise the therapeutic potential of cardioprotection for patient benefit.
This will be organised through 4 working groups and will involve networking tools, scientific meeting, training schools, dissemination activities, and short-term scientific missions.
The meeting was a great success with fruitful exchange of ideas and plans going forward, and we will have our second COST Action meeting in Vienna 19-21 2018, hosted by our Austrian MC members, Bruno Podesser and Mariann Gyöngyösi.
